TARMIN EXPANDS NORTH AMERICAN AND EMEA SALES TEAMS

Active Archive and Intelligent Storage Platform Leader Adds Bruce Holbert, Bill Basinas and Allan McCaulsky

(September 9, 2008) – Tarmin™ Technologies, a leading provider of active archive and intelligent storage software optimized for secondary storage environments, announced today that Bruce Holbert has joined Tarmin as director of sales, North America; Bill Basinas has joined Tarmin as director of technical services, North America; and Allan McCaulsky has joined Tarmin as director of technical services, EMEA.

With the addition of Holbert, Basinas, and McCaulsky to its team, Tarmin will continue to grow its North American and EMEA sales channels. “Bruce, Bill, and Allan all have extremely strong track records in the storage software marketplace,” said Eric Herzog, vice president of marketing and sales for Tarmin. “All of them have demonstrated their critical capabilities in creating strong relationships with channel partners, end users, and OEMs. Their extensive experience with diverse customer bases and their broad knowledge of the storage software market will be essential as Tarmin provides its GridBank™ software solution to our channel partners and customers.”

Holbert was most recently partner accounts manager for national accounts at EMC®, a leading provider of disk-based storage subsystems and software. Here Holbert was responsible for the development of channel relationships for the company’s information protection software and content management solutions. Prior to EMC, Holbert spent over fifteen years at several start-up and reseller-oriented companies where he was involved in numerous partnership, channel management, and direct sales roles.

Basinas brings 26 years of computer industry experience to Tarmin, with the last 15 focused in storage management software. Technically well-versed in many areas of storage management software, particularly archiving, data protection, and disaster recovery technologies, he has held director level positions with Legato Systems, Avamar Technologies (both acquired by EMC), as well as other advanced data protection startup companies. Basinas has extensive experience in building successful field technical teams that provide innovative solutions based on customer business needs, while providing world-class services to Tarmin’s customers. Basinas will expand service and support offerings to Tarmin’s customers throughout North America.

McCaulsky was most recently Infrastructure Practice Leader for Centiq, a leading IT services provider in the UK. He has over 16 years’ technical sales and solutions architecture experience in the storage software, storage subsystems and IT market segments. He has worked for and with many large blue-chip organizations, designing and implementing server and storage solutions on IBM, Sun and HP platforms. This culminated in the successful architecture of one of the world’s largest IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC) installations. McCaulsky holds several technical and architectural certifications including The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF) and IBM’s Infrastructure Systems Architect certification. He will be driving Tarmin’s EMEA field technical teams and will be expanding Tarmin’s support and service offerings across EMEA.
