“The end to end GridBank experience has proven to be the most seamless and complete that we’ve encountered in this space, both from a user and administrative perspective. GridBank has proven to be extremely flexible, without sacrificing resiliency or ease and rapidity of scalability”, said Kenny Lowe, brightsolid’s Head of Emerging Technologies, who has been running the testing with the Tarmin team.
Tarmin offers warm welcome to brightsolid in joining the growing list of valued Tarmin clients and partners.

Tarmin’s holistic approach to managing unstructured data garnered favorable press coverage in feature article in the upcoming winter issue of Data Centre solutions magazine.
Titled ‘A Structured Approach to Unstructured data’, the article explains the Tarmin vision for Storing, Controlling and Understanding unstructured data and how Tarmin is addressing the myriad challenges associated with fast growing, globally dispersed data repositories.

I recently had the honor and great pleasure of participating in a panel discussion on entrepreneurship hosted by NEF, the New Entrepreneur Foundation at Google’s London offices. I was told afterwards by a number of attendees that what made the event so satisfying for them as my telling of the story of Tarmin, how I overcame adversity to develop world class technology with an extremely tight budget, achieving success where far larger more risk adverse companies could not. I also made a number of excellent connections which I am optimistic will be of value to Tarmin in the period ahead. It was an excellent event and I look forward to having similar opportunities in the future. Visit NEF
“In their sixth annual survey on the growth of the Digital Universe, research firm IDC with sponsorship from EMC shares their research findings and offers estimates on the future of growth and the role that intelligent software solutions, like Tarmin GridBank, will play in managing and deriving value from enterprises rapidly data.
Key findings include:
- From now until 2020, the digital universe will about double every two years.
- The investment in spending on IT hardware, software, services, telecommunications and staff that could be considered the "infrastructure" of the digital universe and telecommunications will grow by 40% between 2012 and 2020 . . investment in targeted areas like storage management, security, big data, and cloud computing will grow considerably faster.
- The proportion of data in the digital universe that requires protection is growing faster than the digital universe itself
- We [IDC] believe that by 2020, a third of the data in the digital universe (more than 13,000 exabytes) will have Big Data value
Clearly, it’s an exciting time for Tarmin as we focus on Storing, Controlling and Understanding rapidly growing data. As data grows so does the need for our innovative offerings, ensuring Tarmin’s relevance
